AZURE DATA ENGINEER

As an Azure Data Engineer you work in a scrum team together with Data Scientists, BI Specialists, and Software Engineers. You are responsible for overseeing customer processes and translating them into solutions within cloud data platforms. TECHNOLOGY STACK

  • Microsoft Azure

  • (Partial) knowledge of SSIS, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Synapse or SSAS

  • Python

  • R/Scala is considered a plus

In your role as an Azure Data Engineer at Mediaan, you play an important part in:

  • Developing cloud-based architecture to analyze, store and process data

  • Together with the customer, finding the optimal solution for collecting large amounts and types of data

  • Assisting the customer on their way in and to the Microsoft Azure Cloud

Are you passionate about Microsoft Azure and do you get excited about designing and implementing complex modern data solutions? Do terms like Data Lake, SSIS, Data Factory, or similar terms sound like music to your ears? Obtaining relevant certificates is a plus, but what if you don’t have them? No problem, we’ll give you the opportunity to work on that!

ARE YOU THE ONE?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

  • You are a team player and have strong communication skills

  • You have a positive mentality and you are a problem solver

  • You are ambitious, curious and fascinated by technology

  • Knowledge of modern data technologies, tools, platforms and infrastructures such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Docker or Kubernetes is a plus

  • You have experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Being able to use best practices such as CI/CD, test and programming standards is a plus

  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing methodologies is a plus

  • You have a work permit to work within the EU

  • You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch or German is considered a plus

    Have you applied for a job? Great! Our HR colleagues will check your application and contact you within 1 week.
    2. GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER

    You will come over to our office for a first ‘get to know each other’ talk.  During this meeting, our HR employee + one of our technical colleagues will be present.

    3. SECOND INTERVIEW

    Good news! The first interview has been very satisfying on both sides and we are one step further. In the second meeting, you will meet our business line manager and your expertise and communication skills will be the central topic of our talk.

    4. CONTRACT PROPOSAL

    During your 3rd visit, you will meet our managing director and he will make you an offer that you, hopefully, can not refuse.

    5. WELCOME!

    You will visit us one last time to sign your contract. Welcome at Mediaan!
