WHAT TO EXPECT?

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a QA Engineer at Mediaan Conclusion, your role consists of:

  • Working closely with product stakeholders to create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios & test cases covering both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Running test cases & performing functional, regression, performance and usability assessments to identify errors in the software and ensure they match quality benchmarks and user expectations.
  • Developing & maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to increase the efficiency, scalability and precision of testing processes.
  • Identifying, documenting, tracking and prioritizing software defects using defect tracking systems.
  • Working with development teams to ensure prompt resolution of identified defects and check that they have been fixed.
  • Creating and maintaining test documents such as test plans, test cases and test reports. Providing understandable and concise summaries of test results, defect statistics and overall product quality to stakeholders.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of quality assurance best practices, testing methodologies and industry standards, you advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching junior QA team members by offering technical guidance and assistance.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in quality assurance, software testing or a related function, with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful testing strategies and methodologies

  • Good understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies and best practices. Experience in functional, regression, performance and usability testing.

  • Skilled in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber). Also experienced in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.

  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. JIRA) for test planning, execution and defect tracking.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB, CSTE) are a must.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, coupled with the ability to analyze complex software systems, identify potential areas of risk and devise effective test strategies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, articulate testing concepts and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members, provide technical advice and drive process improvements.

  • Proactive attitude towards learning and keeping up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and new testing methodologies.

    Good news! The first interview has been very satisfying on both sides and we are one step further. In the second meeting, you will meet our business line manager and your expertise and communication skills will be the central topic of our talk.

    4. CONTRACT PROPOSAL

    During your 3rd visit, you will meet our managing director and he will make you an offer that you, hopefully, can not refuse.

    5. WELCOME!

    You will visit us one last time to sign your contract. Welcome at Mediaan!
