The current global pandemic lays the foundation for the “new normal.” Economic changes, social distance, but also positive impulses, e.g. in the area of digitization, are now part of everyday life. Unlike our previous editions, this year, we hosted an online Summerkonferenz through a livestream that covered the following topic:
Quo vadis Germany? The crisis as a catalyst for the “new ways of working”.
Various experts from the business community shared their exclusive insights of the current situation as well as an assessment of the upcoming phase in Germany. One of the most important topics during our Livestream was the topic of data protection. Our data protection counsel (LL.M.), Lucia Ferrigno, addressed some pitfalls that need to be considered.
The current president of the German digital association “Bitkom”, Achim Berg, shared his view about the topic of “Digitization”. Hardly anyone can report on the classification of this topic in current and future challenges as qualified as him. We were also pleased to have Ulrich Coenen, member of the board / CDO at Fiducia & GAD IT AG, talked about to what extent the current time is changing the banking environment, what it means for the classic branches, online channels, and digital payment transactions.
Marcus Vengels, as Managing Director of Mediaan Deutschland GmbH, maintains intensive contacts with companies from a wide range of industries. During the livestream, he talked about his impressions concerning the state and outlook of the German economy.
Last but not least, we were also delighted to have Prof. Dr. Jens Böcker as a moderator during the livestream. He contributed interesting aspects from teaching and research as a professor in the economics department at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
